Blessing Okagbare is now Africa's fastest woman and has represented in the Olympics and World Athletic Championship, winning medals from both competitions.
Blessing won the silver medal in the long jump and also placed third in the Women’s 200m race.
speaking in Abuja, President Jonathan said Blessing, who is Africa's 100m record holder, and her coach would be considered for national honours and announced a cash gift of N3 million for her and N3.5million for her coach.
